Tessillations

Tessellation is a system of shapes with certain characteristics together, especially of polygon in a repeated pattern without gaps or overlapping.

  • Real – life tessellations include natural forms like honey combs, turtle shells and pineapples etc…,
  • Tile floors, brick walls, checker boards, stained glass etc. are man- made examples
  • Other synonyms of it include pattern, mosaic, patch work and web work based on the specific content of the arrangement.
