About Our School
Shankarji Memorial Girls High School was established in 1968 by
Late Sri. Shankarji who is also one of the founder members of Osmania Graduates Association, Economic Committee & Exhibition Society . The school is sponsored by Exhibition Society and recognized by Govt. of Telangana with a motto to give better education to girls. On demand from parents the management decided to admit boys in the pre-primary section and hence the school started implementing education to both boys & girls from the year 2015-16.

Co-Education: From 2015-16, boys admitted in pre-primary. Nursery–5th Grade: co-ed. 6th–10th Grade: girls only.
Academics: One section per grade, English medium, follows SSC syllabus.
Co-Curricular: Value education, Physical education, Computer education, Art & Craft.
Special Activities: Karate classes, classical & other dances, daily fitness class.
House System: Four houses – Gandhi, Nehru, Shastri, Zakir – with inter-house competitions in literary, cultural & sports events.
Safety & Welfare: Student accident insurance and medical insurance for staff.
The co-education is from nursery to 5th grade and exclusively for girls from 6th to 10th grade. The school has one section of each grade and medium of instruction is English only. The school follows SSC syllabus prescribed by Govt. of Telangana.
Apart from curricular subjects the school management emphasizes on co-curricular subjects like value education , Physical education, Computer education and Art and Craft. In order to learn self – defence, karate classes are being conducted regularly. To inculcate cultural values, the students are trained for classical & other dances. The school conducts a fitness class every morning for the students to have sound body and mind. The students are divided into four groups namely Gandhi, Nehru, Shastri and Zakir house to conduct inter-house competitions. Inter House Competitions are conducted in literary cultural.

SSC results every year. Our students also participates in inter-school competitions, science exhibition conducted by Govt as well as private schools

The school celebrated its Golden Jubilee in 2018 on a grand scale inviting the alumni & officers from education department.

Activities in the school
National Festivals like Independence day , Republic Day, Teachers Day & Children’s Day are celebrated with great enthusiasm and fervour.
To know the importance of trees in our life Van Mahotsav is celebrated every year and saplings are planted.
To understand the significance of languages, “Hindi Divas”, Telangana Bhasa Dinotsavam and Matrubhasha Dinotsavam are celebrated.
The school also organizes National Science Day, National Mathematics Day.
Indoor and Out door sports are conducted.
